Kinetic Therapy

Movement is medicine.

Kinetic Therapy

The treatment

Kinetic Therapy at No.24 is led by Gareth — an Honours-graduate Biokineticist from Nelson Mandela University with four years of private practice in South Africa. We treat the cause, not just the symptom, combining manual therapy, corrective exercise and functional retraining for athletes, post-op clients and anyone who'd rather move freely.

Why clients choose it

The benefits.

01

Find the root cause

Pain rarely lives where it shows. A full-body assessment finds the chain that needs work.

02

Evidence-based protocols

Every plan is built on current sports-science research — not gym folklore.

03

Active rehabilitation

Manual work plus corrective exercise so the change holds long after you leave.

04

Sport-specific return

Whether it's the gym, the garden or the next ultra, we build to the demands of your life.

Step by step

What to expect.

Every appointment follows the same considered rhythm. No surprises, no rushed checkouts.

  1. 01

    Full assessment

Movement screen, joint range testing and a deep history — typically 45 minutes.

  2. 02

    Diagnosis & plan

We agree the goal, the timeline, and how often we'll need to see each other.

  3. 03

    Hands-on therapy

Soft-tissue release, mobilisation, cupping or COMPEX neuromuscular stimulation as needed.

  4. 04

    Corrective programme

A short home plan — minutes a day, not hours — to rebuild the pattern correctly.

Suited for

Who this is for.

  • Sports injuries (running, cycling, gym, racquet sports)
  • Post-op rehabilitation and chronic back/neck pain
  • Office-bound mobility decline and posture work
  • Pre-event conditioning and load management

Aftercare

Looking after the work.

  • Do the home plan — three short sessions a week beats one long one.
  • Sleep, hydration and protein intake all accelerate recovery; we'll talk about it.
  • Flag pain quickly — small flare-ups are easier to settle than ignored ones.

Questions

Good to know.

Anything we haven't answered? Get in touch.

  • Massage is part of it. Kinetic Therapy adds assessment, diagnosis and corrective exercise to make change last.

  • Acute issues often resolve in 3–5 sessions. Chronic patterns take longer; Gareth will be honest at the assessment.

  • No — but bring any imaging or notes you have. We work alongside GPs and physios where helpful.
